A Bible verse for you

This was one of my word alerts today. Relevant words for anyone in work.

Proverbs 28:19
The one who works his land will be satisfied with food, but whoever chases daydreams will have his fill of poverty.

The concept of work is biblical, and we are to work within the measure that God has given us. Genesis 2:15 says, “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.” Everything that Adam and Eve needed was inside that garden: God, food, work, each other. The basic question on the table: is it enough? Satan corrupted Adam and Eve’s sense of enough, as if they somehow needed the knowledge of good and evil. The serpent suggested that without breaking God’s command, they would no longer be satisfied. Do not let your own fantasies or idea of happiness lead you away from the perfectly good “enough” that God has in store for you. Remain in Christ and live obedient to the Holy Spirit of God.
